Bred dina vida vingar

Pictures with dual content

Before I started planning the 15 pictures, which are about the life and poetry of Swedish author Lina Sandell-Berg, I researched about Lina in available literature. In addition, I borrowed letters to and from Lina from Lund University Library.

I prayed to God for the project and then felt that I would include appropriate Christian symbols in the motifs. In the interesting book "The secret of the holy signs" by Frithiof Dahlby, I found suitable ones. The pictures thus received double messages: partly what you can see spontaneously and partly the spiritual content.

Since Lina Sandell-Berg is best known as Lina Sandell, I usually call her this on my website.

Culture scholarship
For my research on Lina Sandell's life and authorship and for the pictures with this theme, I have received a cultural scholarship. This pleased me greatly and encouraged me to move on in my art practice.

Lectures

The pictures, which are about Lina, have brought me into yet another interesting activity: I am invited to lecture about Lina at different types of gatherings. Then I also usually have the pictures with me to illustrate what I tell.
